I Googled PMO, and it sounds terrifying. If you suffered a head injury or brain damage, all of a sudden people's faces could look all messed up. One person woke up and thought he was in a demon world when he started experiencing it. And apparently yes, it can also happen while looking in a mirror.

Sad birthday kitty is named Monique. She's FIV+ which is why she'd been there so long. She was adopted a couple of weeks after the party and settled into her new home well, so haply ending there!

PMO is not schizophrenia but has been misdiagnosed as such. It's an extremely, extremely rare visual center disorder in the brain. SciShow just did a video on this the other day actually. It's filled with super interesting insights into how the brain processes imagery, especially faces.

6:38 I think the worst way to die I've ever heard was the time a guy went into the Nutty Putty Caves (yes that is their name) and went down a dead end by accident, died, and was buried in there. I don’t know what's worse, dying surrounded on all sides by crushing darkness or knowing I'm gonna be the laughingstock in the afterlife whenever I tell someone my final resting place was a cave called Nutty Putty.
